Beeswax Flora Candle

The Flora Candles are a special range of candles. Each one completely different from the last.
Inspired by the little window garden outside our daughter Poppy’s room that was made for us by a lovely elderly neighbour during lockdown who knows how much our family love flowers. The ever-changing shapes and colours out of the window each season bring us all so much joy.
We use these candles to celebrate birthdays in celebration rings, for special occasions, and as table-setting decorations. They make lovely gifts as they are unique, one-offs, and small enough to send.
These candles are made to fit our Handmade Wooden Candle Holders, Imperfect Heart Candle Holder, and Spiral celebration ring.

FIRE SAFETY - NEVER leave lit candles unattended. It goes without saying but please ALWAYS supervise children around lit candles as your safety is very important to those who love you and to us! ALWAYS place your candle on a safe surface like a plate or another stable surface/candle holder and blow it out when it reaches 3cm.

Beeswax is made by honeybees building combs in their hives. Beekeepers extract the honey from the combs and they are left with the wax, a beautiful by-product of an incredible process of nature. No waste and sustainable.
Not only that - beeswax is said to have a completely clean, non-toxic burn that releases negative ions into the air which bind with toxins and help remove them from the air. It also lasts - beeswax has been found in ancient Egypt in tombs dating back to 1550 B.C. A pretty good expiry date then.
Also, I have heard that the colour of the light that is emitted from a beeswax candle flame is the same spectrum as the sun! Now that’s impressive.
In candles, beeswax burns longer and without soot- better for you, better for your kids and most definitely better for your white walls. They also drip less, smell good and are a beautiful colour all by themselves, completely naturally.
In an increasingly fragile world- beeswax is 100% natural and a renewable resource. The beekeeper we work with -Russell, and his team in the South Island NZ, are dedicated to educating and upskilling budding beekeepers and looking after generations of bees with passion and care.
